Amendment #808 to H4000

Provision clarifying cost of living increases

Mr. Scaccia of Boston moves that the bill be amended by adding the following section:-

Section XX. Chapter 6 of the general laws is hereby amended in Section 1, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition by inserting after the word “calculated” the word “cumulatively”.

And said chapter is hereby further amended in Section 2 of said chapter as so appearing by inserting after the word “calculated” as so appearing the word “cumulatively”.

And further amends as follows:

Section 1 of Chapter 9 of the general laws as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting after the word “calculated” the word “cumulatively”.

And further,

In Section 1 of Chapter 10 of the general laws as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting after the word “calculated” the word “cumulatively”.

And further,

In Section 1 of Chapter 11 of the general laws as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting after the word “calculated” the word “cumulatively”.

And further,

In Section 1 of Chapter 12 of the general laws as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting after the word “calculated” the word “cumulatively”.

And further,

In section 3 of chapter 192 of the acts of 1994 and most recently amended by section 2 of chapter 3 of the acts of 2005 is hereby further amended by inserting at the end thereof a new sentence as follows:

“All of the amounts established in this section shall be adjusted by an additional amount calculated by applying the adjustment percentage most recently ascertained by the governor pursuant to Article CXVIII of the articles of amendment to the constitution”.
