Amendment #848 to H4000

Enabling MassGIS to Better Support Communities

Representatives Cantwell of Marshfield, Calter of Kingston, Schmid of Westport, Ehrlich of Marblehead, Madden of Nantucket and Ashe of Longmeadow move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 1599-6152 the following item:

"1599-XXXX to create an appropriation for the Information Technology Division of the Executive Office of Administration and Finance that would allow for MassGIS to purchase data sets, further develop data and expand its operations. This would provide all levels of government and communities technical assistance for modeling, planning and adapting for climate change as well as better answer critical questions regarding sustainable development and growth.".
