Amendment #858 to H4000

Judicial Compensation

Mr. Costello of Newburyport moves to amend the bill by inserting after section 102 the following section:

"SECTION [XXX]. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any judicial officer, duly appointed, commissioned and sworn, who holds his or her office in good behavior, attains 70 years of age after December 30, 2013 and retires pursuant to article XCVIII of the amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth shall be compensated pursuant to chapter 61 of the acts of 2013.”.
