Amendment #176 to H4165

Workforce Training Matching Funds

Representatives Keefe of Worcester and Donahue of Worcester moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7003-0605 the following item:

“7003-0606  To match investment offered through the City of Worcester’s local resident training fund developed in alignment with recent Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreements in the City for the building and operation of two new hotels, along with other City employers, provided that these funds would further the development, outreach and coordination of employer partnerships and services, offered through a Worcester Jobs Compact, to increase job opportunities, training, and placement for local residents, leveraging the City of Worcester’s local resident training fund, as well as other State and Federal workforce development resources.........$100,000”
