"safe and supportive schools" requirements subject to local approval

Mr. Vieira of Falmouth moves to amend the bill in Section 73 by striking (b) and inserting in place thereof (c) and further striking after the word effective; “as of June 30, 2016” and inserting in place thereof; “upon approval of the local school committee in the case of a public school district, or upon the approval of the board of trustees of a Commonwealth or Horace Mann Public Charter School,” and further by inserting at the end of the section; “subsection (b) of section 1P of chapter 69 of the General Laws shall be effective as of June 30, 2016.”
