Notification of tenant vacancies

Mr. Chan of Quincy moves to amend the bill in Section 5 line 29 by striking the words "whenever a vacancy occurs in the term of a tenant member for any reason other than the expiration of a term, the department shall notify in writing the tenant organizations and the board of selectman specified herein within 10 working days after the vacancy occurs." and replacing it with the following:-

“Whenever a vacancy occurs in the term of a tenant member for any reason other than the expiration of a term, the housing authority shall notify in writing the department, the tenant organizations and the board of selectmen specified herein within 10 working days after the vacancy occurs.”
