Amendment #22 to H4306

Representatives Madden of Nantucket and Cariddi of North Adams moves to amend the bill by striking section 3 in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following:-

Section 3. The fourth paragraph of section 5 of said chapter 121B, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following sentence:- “In a town, the department’s appointment shall be the ‘tenant member’. ” ; and

by striking out section 4 in its entirety; and

by amending section 5 by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the words “the department” in lines 18, 20, 23, 25 and 26 and in lines 31 and 32 after the words “vacancy occurs.”.
