provide parent, child, and family reunification services to maintain positive parent-child relationships during and after the incarceration of mothers.

Ms. Fox of Boston moves to amend the bill that no less than $120,000 be funded to the Aid to Incarcerated Mothers Family Re-Unification Program.

 

Aid to Incarcerated Mothers (AIM) (a.k.a. Home S.P.A.C.E., Inc.) provides parent, child, and family reunification services to maintain positive parent-child relationships during and after the incarceration of mothers. These services include, but are not limited to: assisting children to visit their mothers in prison or other correctional facilities; promoting positive social behavior in children; arranging and supporting mentoring of children by trained volunteer mentors; providing parenting education and related classes and support groups for mothers; and linking children to other support services.
