Amendment #22 to H55

Edward J. Sullivan Courthouse Sale Proceeds

Mr. Toomey of Cambridge moves to amend the bill striking out section 25 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

SECTION 25. Notwithstanding subsection (e) of section 20 of chapter 304 of the acts of 2008, $500,000 of the net cash proceeds of the sale of the former Edward J. Sullivan Courthouse in the city of Cambridge shall be transferred to the city of Cambridge and expended for the design of a trail with rail in the Grand Junction corridor, $1,000,000 of the proceeds shall be transferred to the city of Cambridge and expended for the purchase or maintenance of open space, green space, or other publicly accessible land or facilities in the East Cambridge neighborhood of the city of Cambridge, and the remainder of the proceeds shall be deposited into the General Fund.
