Work Participation Documentation

Representatives Hecht of Watertown, Balser of Newton, Livingstone of Boston and Rogers of Cambridge moves to amend the bill move to amend the bill in Section 9, line 142 by striking the words “all work participation forms shall be verified by a third party who shall sign the work participation form under the penalties of perjury” and inserting in place thereof the words “when the department has determined that the work participation documentation presented by the applicant or recipient appears questionable and cannot be verified through direct communication with the employer or other third party or by other means, it may require that the forms be verified by the employer or other third party under the penalties of perjury.”
