DHCD HomeBASE Review

Mr. Tarr moves to amend the amendment by inserting at the end thereof the following new Section:-

“SECTION__. The department of housing and community development shall conduct an examination of the “HomeBASE” program, so-called, to determine its efficacy in reducing dependence on shelter housing and homelessness, its achievement of cost-savings and efficiencies, its sustainability within current budgetary parameters, and any additional resources required in order for the program to meet its goals and remain viable for the next five fiscal years.  The results of said examination, together with any legislative recommendations, shall be filed with the clerks of the house and the senate not later than 90 days after the effective date of this act.”
