Hospital Stay Determination

Mr. Tarr moves to amend the amendment by inserting in the end the following new section:-

Section _.  Notwithstanding any general of special law to the contrary, the Department of Public Health shall promulgate regulations establishing notice standards that hospitals or clinics subject to licensure by the department or supported in whole or in part by the commonwealth must provide to patients or residents, as to their status on whether he or she is being admitted for observation or inpatient care. Said regulations shall be promulgated within 60 days of the passage of this act.”
