LIHEAP Supplemental Funding

Mr. Donnelly moves to amend the amendment in section 2 by inserting after item 7004-0102 the following new item:

"7004-1000 For a state supplement to the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program 42 U.S.C. section 8621 et seq., to assist low-income elders, working families and other households with the purchase of heating oil, propane, natural gas, electricity and other primary or secondary heating sources; provided, that expenditure of these supplemental funds shall be made in accordance with the state plan submitted by the department of housing and community development for operation of the fiscal year 2014 program, in accordance with federal law; and provided further, that the department shall establish the maximum assistance for which a household shall be eligible commensurate with the increased funding provided in this item...................................................... $20,000,000"
