Reciprocal Service for Restraining Orders

Mr. Tarr moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

Section_.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the secretary of public safety and the secretary of administration and finance shall design a multi-state compact providing for the reciprocal service by and between the signatory states of orders issued pursuant to those orders issued under Chapter 209A of the General Laws, or a like order issued by another jurisdiction; provided, however that said secretaries shall initiate negotiations with Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York; and provided further, however, that said compact shall be submitted to the general court and governor for ratification.
