Further Amendment 1.1

Tipped Minimum Wage

Mr. Pacheco moves to further amend amendment #1 further amend amendment #1 (Senate No. 1925) by striking out the amendment and inserting in place thereof the following new text:-

SECTION__: Section 7 of said chapter 151 is hereby amended by striking out the words “the cash wage required to be paid such an employee on July 1, 1999” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 45% of the minimum wage, as outlined in section 1 of chapter 151 of the General Laws

SECTION__: Said Section 7 of said chapter 151 is hereby further amended by striking out the figure “45% of the minimum wage, as defined in section 1 of chapter 151 of the General Laws”, inserted by Section 3, and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 60% of the minimum wage, as defined in section 1 of chapter 151 of the General Laws;

by striking out section 6 and inserting in place thereof the following new section:-

“SECTION 6. Sections 1, 5, and __ shall take effect on January 1, 2014.”; and

by striking out section 7 and inserting in place thereof the following new section:-

“SECTION 7. Sections 2 and __ shall take effect on January 1, 2015.”
