Tying service wage to the minimum wage

Mr. Brownsberger moves to amend the bill by adding the following new section:-

SECTION XX. Section 7 of Chapter 151 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking the following words in lines 29-31:- “the cash wage required to be paid such an employee on July 1, 1999”

and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “35% of the wage in effect under section 1”.
