Early Voting Security

Messrs. Petruccelli and Donnelly move to amend the amendment in section 11, by inserting after the word “section”, in line 148, the following words:-

“; provided however, a city or town may opt to detail a sufficient number of police officers or constables for each early voting site at the expense of said city or town to preserve order and to protect the election officers and supervisors from any interference with their duties and to aid in enforcing the laws relating to elections”; and

in section 13, by striking out, in line 154, the words “shall not apply to section 25B” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “may apply to section 25B at the discretion of the election officers and registrars for a city or town”.
