Ms. O'Connor Ives and Mr. Montigny move to amend the amendment by inserting the following new section:-

Section XX. (a) Section 52 of Chapter 10 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the words "The governor shall also seek to assure membership from varied regions of the state" and inserting in place thereof:-

"The council shall include at least one member residing in each of the Commonwealth's fourteen counties, and not more than three members residing in any one county."

(b) This section shall take effect as of January 1, 2018.
