Local Preference

Mr. Ross moves to amend the amendment in section 14, in line 506, by inserting after the word “law” the following words:- “; provided further, that local housing authorities shall give priority in placement first to eligible and qualified applicants who reside in the same city or town as the local housing authority and second to eligible and qualified applicants who resided in the same city or town as the local housing authority for a period of 25 years or more, but who do not reside in said city or town at the time they submit their application”
