Definition of a Heavy Duty Vehicle

Mr. Kennedy moved that the proposed new text be amended moved that the bill be amended by inserting after section__, the following new section:-

"SECTION __.  Chapter 165 of 2013 is hereby amended by striking the words in the definition Heavy Duty vehicle the words “provided, however that heavy duty vehicles built to custom specifications sold in the Commonwealth for commercial purposes shall not be required to comply with subsection (d) of section 2” and by striking in section 2(a) the words “and for model year 2013 heavy duty vehicles and thereafter” and by striking the words in section 6(b) in the first sentence up to and including the word process, and inserting in its place the following: “An Independent repair facility or owner who believes that a manufacturer has failed to provide information or tool required by this chapter shall notify the manufacturer in writing or the National Service Task Force Information process.”
