Removal of RMV’s ability to deny driver’s license renewals based on old unpaid tickets

Mr. Brownsberger moved that the proposed new text be amended moved that the bill be amended by adding the following new section:-

Section XX.Section 20G of Chapter 90, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition of the General Laws,  is hereby amended by adding in line 8 after the word “regulation” the following:-

“, provided, however, that violations issued prior to a person’s most recent license renewal shall not constitute a violation for purposes of this section”
