Amendment #1 to H3343

Floor Amendment

Mr. Speliotis of Danvers moves to amend the bill moves to amend House, No. 3343 by striking out section 1 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

“SECTION 1. Subsection C of section 3 of chapter 353 of the acts of 1987 is hereby amended by striking out paragraph 13 and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-

(13) The town manager shall be responsible for the negotiation of all contracts. Further, the town manager shall be responsible for the execution, subject to such authorization as may otherwise be required under applicable law by the town meeting, board of selectmen, or other board or commission of the town, of all contracts, except for union collective bargaining agreements pursuant to chapter 150E of the General Laws and individual employment contracts. The board of selectmen shall be responsible for the ratification and execution of all such collective bargaining agreements and individual employment contracts.”.
