Amendment #1 to H3400

Employment for people with disabilities and autism spectrum disorders

Mr. Sannicandro of Ashland moves to amend the bill by adding the following 2 sections:

"SECTION  XXXX. Chapter 7 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-

Section 63. (a) In order to promote equal work opportunities and self-sufficiency for people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders, no state funding shall be awarded to any employer that does not employ at least two and one half percent of its workforce with people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.

SECTION XXXY. Chapter 149 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-

Section 190. (a) In order to promote equal work opportunities and self-sufficiency for people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders, no state funding shall be awarded to any employer that does not employ at least two and one half percent of its workforce with people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.”
