Amendment #1021 to H3400

MA400 Commemoration

Representatives Muratore of Plymouth, Gentile of Sudbury, Calter of Kingston, Cutler of Duxbury, Cantwell of Marshfield, Murphy of Weymouth, Peake of Provincetown, Cusack of Braintree and Tucker of Salem move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting, after item 7008-0900, the following item:

“xxxx-xxxx  For the Massachusetts 400 Program; provided further, that funds shall be expended for the commemoration and celebration of 400th anniversary celebrations in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; provided further, that funds may be expended for the planning, marketing and support of these commemorations; provided further, that these funds will be distributed pursuant to a competitive grant process and subject to a dollar for dollar match by the receiving community ……………………….$500,000”.
