"Buy Local" Amendment

Representatives Markey of Dartmouth, Ashe of Longmeadow, Cabral of New Bedford, Calter of Kingston, Campbell of Methuen, Cariddi of North Adams, Cutler of Duxbury, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Donahue of Worcester, Dwyer of Woburn, Dykema of Holliston, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Fiola of Fall River, Gifford of Wareham, Hill of Ipswich, Howitt of Seekonk, Jones of North Reading, Khan of Newton, Kocot of Northampton, Koczera of New Bedford, Madden of Nantucket, Mark of Peru, Orrall of Lakeville, Pignatelli of Lenox, Puppolo of Springfield, Rogers of Cambridge, Schmid of Westport, Scibak of South Hadley, Speliotis of Danvers, Straus of Mattapoisett and Vega of Holyoke move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 2511-0100, in line 9, by inserting after "department" the following: "; and provided further, that no less than $300,000 shall be expended to enhance the "Buy Local" effort in Western, Central, Northeastern and Southeastern Massachusetts"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$5,199,798" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$5,499,798".
