Amendment #1049 to H3400

Nursing Home MassHealth Rates and Wages Pass-Through

Representatives Garballey of Arlington, Devers of Lawrence, Cabral of New Bedford, Decker of Cambridge, DuBois of Brockton, Heroux of Attleboro, Ultrino of Malden, Tosado of Springfield, Malia of Boston, Holmes of Boston, Fox of Boston, Khan of Newton, Moran of Lawrence and Puppolo of Springfield move to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 4000-0640 by adding the following: ";provided further, that not less than $20,000,000 shall be expended as supplemental payments to provide a MassHealth rate add-on for nursing facilities; provided further that nursing facilities shall be required to certify in writing to the MassHealth agency that this rate add-on and these supplemental payments are expended by the facility exclusively and entirely to provide additional wages, compensation or salary for personnel providing care to nursing home residents; provided further, that the MassHealth agency shall adopt all additional regulations and procedures necessary to carry out this section" and by striking out the figures: "$291,600,000" and inserting in place thereof the figures: "311,600,000".
