State Laboratory and Communicable Disease Control

Representatives Hogan of Stow, Balser of Newton, Khan of Newton, Gentile of Sudbury, Stanley of Waltham, Velis of Westfield, O'Day of West Boylston, Timilty of Milton, Chan of Quincy, Keefe of Worcester, Lawn of Watertown, Benson of Lunenburg, Golden of Lowell, Barber of Somerville, Pignatelli of Lenox, Vieira of Falmouth, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Campbell of Methuen, Ultrino of Malden, Brady of Brockton, Hecht of Watertown, Provost of Somerville and Sánchez of Boston move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4516-1000, in line 9, by inserting after “item” the following: “; provided further, that the department of public health and the division of capital asset management and maintenance shall complete the planning study on the feasibility of a new state public health laboratory, as such study is described in chapter 165 of the acts of 2014, and shall file a copy of this report not later than December 1st 2015 with the house and senate committees on ways and means, and the house and senate committees on bonding, capital expenditures and state assets”; and in said item by striking out the figures “13,700,641” and inserting in place thereof the figures “14,635,385”.
