Amendment #198 to H3400

DCF Out Of State

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by inserting the following newsection: -

“SECTION XX. Section 1 of chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in the fourth paragraph, after the first sentence, the following new sentence: -- In the circumstance that a child under care of the department is a resident of a state other than Massachusetts, the department shall utilize appropriate resources to return the child back to his state of residency.”.
