Amendment #230 to H3400

Elevator Inspections

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XX. Section 64 of chapter 143 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 6, after the word “years” the following:-

; provided, however, that elevators owned by a church or religious organization shall be inspected and tested at intervals of not less than three years.”.
