Amendment #37 to H3400

Nurse Residency Pilot Program

Mr. Sannicandro of Ashland moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 4510-0810 the following item:

"4510-xxxx For a Nurse Residency Pilot Program at MetroWest Medical Center to prepare five graduate nurses, with their Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from a Massachusetts State University or College, to help them transition from student to professional practice; provided that, monies from this appropriation shall fund the salaries of five nursing school graduates for one year; provided further that MetroWest Medical Center shall pay for the administrative costs associated with the Nurse Residency Pilot Program, including, but not limited to, paying the director of the Nurse Residency Pilot Program and the nurse preceptors; and provided further that upon completion of the program, MetroWest Medical Center agrees to hire pilot program graduates.….$310,000.00"
