Amendment #401 to H3400

Square One Daycare, Inc

Representatives Swan of Springfield and Vega of Holyoke moves to amend the bill in section 2, line item 4800-0040, by adding at the end thereof, the following:

“provided further, that not less than $200,000 shall be expended to Square One Daycare, Inc., so-called, in Springfield a regional early educational daycare and family support system in Western Massachusetts, to provide children and families support services on a continuum of care for one hundred pre-school children and their families, with case management to expand access to primary health care services, screenings, and oral health to ensure they are receiving positive health care practices; increase behavioral health services training to prevent child abuse, reduce domestic violence and impact parenting skills to  stabilize the living situations and avoid poverty, and serve parent workforce and educational training to provide parents with gainful employment.”
