Amendment #566 to H3400

relative to SNAP work requirements

Representatives O'Connell of Taunton, DeCoste of Norwell, Lombardo of Billerica and Mirra of West Newbury move to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XXXX. Chapter 18 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 32 the following section:--

Section 32A. The department shall not seek, apply for, accept or renew any waiver of work requirements for the supplemental nutrition assistance program established under 7 U.S.C. § 2015(o); provided that waivers shall be granted for individuals with protected status or good cause as allowed by federal and state law.”
