Metropolitan Beaches Commission Matching Grants Program

Representatives Vincent of Revere, Crighton of Lynn, Madaro of Boston and Ehrlich of Marblehead move to amend the bill, in section 2, line item 2810-0100

after the words “provided further, that the department may issue grants to public and nonpublic entities from this item;” by inserting the following new words:-

“and shall issue matching grants of not less than $190,000 to public and nonpublic entities from this item to support free public events and programs on the metropolitan beaches as part of Save the Harbor/Save the Bay’s Better Beaches Grants Program as recommended by the Metropolitan Beaches Commission;”
