Amendment #729 to H3400

Expands the Eligibility for the Massachusetts Loan Repayment Program for Dental Providers

Representatives Cariddi of North Adams, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Pignatelli of Lenox and Mark of Peru move to amend the bill, H. 3400 by adding the following section:

SECTION XX           that would allow any dental provider practicing in the Commonwealth and who works for a non-profit that has documented that over 50% of patients served are Mass Health and/or Medicaid eligible, shall be eligible to access the Massachusetts Loan Repayment Program as administered by the Department of Public Health. Such loan repayment benefit would be limited to no more than 10 dentists nor should the expense of this program to the Commonwealth exceed $500,000 in any fiscal year.
