Amendment #730 to H3400

Establishing a Grant program to increase dental services to underserved areas of the Commonwealth that serve Medicaid and Mass Health eligible patients

Representatives Cariddi of North Adams, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Pignatelli of Lenox and Mark of Peru move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

Section XX        to fund the costs associated with establishing provider services to non-profit dental providers who can document that over 50% of their patients served are Mass Health or Medicaid eligible. This  appropriation of not less than $750,000  shall be awarded as grants on a competitive basis, with not more than $250,000 appropriated in any one service area, These grants may be renewable given certain service goals as established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
