Narcan Bulk Purchasing

Representatives Campbell of Methuen, DiZoglio of Methuen, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, DiNatale of Fitchburg, O'Connell of Taunton, Barber of Somerville, Provost of Somerville, Gentile of Sudbury, Whelan of Brewster, Dooley of Norfolk, Cutler of Duxbury, Brodeur of Melrose, Orrall of Lakeville, Hecht of Watertown, Vega of Holyoke, Dwyer of Woburn, Galvin of Canton, Calter of Kingston, Cole of Peabody, Decker of Cambridge, Schmid of Westport, O'Day of West Boylston, Gifford of Wareham, Rogers of Norwood, Malia of Boston, Tucker of Salem, Ehrlich of Marblehead, Toomey of Cambridge and Devers of Lawrence move to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XX.  The department of public health and the executive office of public safety and security shall enter into an interagency agreement to purchase Narcan (Naloxone) in bulk and distribute the same to municipalities; provided, that a city or town shall purchase Narcan from the department and office at cost or otherwise fully reimburse the commonwealth for the expense of purchasing and distributing Narcan.”
