Healthy Childhood Development

Representatives Hunt of Boston and Fox of Boston move to amend the bill by adding the following new item:

"XXXX-XXXX. For Healthy Child Development – a family-based program that helps parents stay involved in their children’s lives. Includes nutrition classes for parents, a public Farmers Market, recreational opportunities and classes in community indoor pool and gymnasium. Generation Next Academy – for at-risk kids to ensure they stay in school and are directed to a college education and job training. (Neighborhood youth experience high rates of exposure to violence, lack of summer employment and preparation for post-high school education and workforce opportunities). Case management staff will connect families and students to appropriate programs and healthcare services provided at DotHouse Health..................................$500,000 ”.
