Community Preservation Act-Consolidated Net Surplus

Representatives Kocot of Northampton, Jones of North Reading, Haddad of Somerset, Kafka of Stoughton, Peake of Provincetown, Vieira of Falmouth, Schmid of Westport, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Gentile of Sudbury, Arciero of Westford, Pignatelli of Lenox, Fiola of Fall River, Madden of Nantucket, Mirra of West Newbury, Dykema of Holliston, Hecht of Watertown, Parisella of Beverly, McMurtry of Dedham, Scibak of South Hadley, Ferrante of Gloucester, Cantwell of Marshfield, Fernandes of Milford, Straus of Mattapoisett, Garlick of Needham and O'Day of West Boylston move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX.  FY15 Consolidated Net Surplus

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, prior to transferring the consolidated net surplus in the budgetary funds for fiscal year 2015 to the Commonwealth Stabilization Fund under section 5C of chapter 29 of the General Laws, the comptroller shall transfer $25,000,000, to the

Massachusetts Community Preservation Trust Fund established in section 9 of chapter 44B of the General Laws."
