Employment Services Program (ESP)

Representatives Cabral of New Bedford, Khan of Newton, Rogers of Cambridge, Schmid of Westport, Fox of Boston, Smola of Warren, Donahue of Worcester, Madaro of Boston, Benson of Lunenburg, DiNatale of Fitchburg, O'Day of West Boylston, Decker of Cambridge, Malia of Boston and Fiola of Fall River move to amend the bill, in section 2, in item 4401-1000, in line 2, by inserting after “program,” the following:- provided further, that the department shall spend no less than amount spent in fiscal year 2015 for the young parents program; provided further, that funds from this line item shall be spent to provide reimbursement for transportation costs for recipients in approved education or training programs or performing paid work in an amount equal to the actual costs of the most reasonable and practical mode of transportation or $80 per month, whichever is less; provided further, that the department shall spend no less than the amount spent in fiscal year 2015 for stipends for the DTA Works internship program;
