Music Therapy

Representatives Brodeur of Melrose, Khan of Newton and McMurtry of Dedham moves to amend the bill in section 2 in line 3000-7050 by inserting after “individualized education” the following:  “provided further that not less than $50,000 shall be expended for a Sprouting Melodies early childhood music pilot program led by board-certified music therapists to promote early attachment, increase protective factors, build resilience in children and families, and support the social and emotional development and mental health of young children, ages 0-5.”
