Amendment #1 to H3618

Floor amendment to H.3618

Mr. Madden of Nantucket moves to amend the bill Mr. Madden of Nantucket moves to amend House, No. 3618 by striking out sections 2 and 3 and inserting in place thereof the following 3 sections:-

“ SECTION 2. Notwithstanding section 1, an incumbent member of the Historic District Commission previously appointed or elected pursuant to section 3 of chapter 395 of the acts of 1970 shall continue to serve in that capacity until the expiration of the incumbent’s term or until the incumbent sooner vacates the office. After the expiration of the term of an incumbent member, or a sooner vacating of the office, a new member shall be elected pursuant to section 1.

SECTION 3. Section 3 of chapter 338 of the acts of 2014 is hereby repealed.

SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.”
