Floor Amendment

Mr. Speliotis of Danvers moves to amend the bill Danvers moves to amend House, No. 3824 by striking out, in line 7, the words “Massachusetts Department of Correction paid sick” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “extended illness”; and by inserting before the enacting clause the following emergency preamble:-

“Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of correction, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.”.
