Email Taskforce

Ms. Peisch of Wellesley moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

"SECTION XX. Establish a taskforce to review whether any restrictions on access to email should be developed given emails have replace telephone conversations and the volume of emails generated imposes an unreasonable burden on records access officers.

The commission shall include the house and senate chairs of the joint committee on state administration and regulatory oversight, who shall serve as co-chairs, the attorney general or a designee, speaker of the house or designee, the president of the senate or a designee, the minority leader of the house of representatives or a designee, the minority leader of the senate or a designee, the governor or a designee, the chair of the house committee on ways and means or a designee, the chair of the senate committee on ways and means or a designee and 1 member to be appointed by the Massachusetts Municipal Association, Inc."
