Amendment #27 to H3944

Prescription Monitoring Program

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill in SECTION 12, by striking out in lines 92 and 93, the words “issuance to a patient every time for a prescription for an extended-release long-acting opioid in a non-abuse deterrent form for outpatient use” and inserting in place thereof the following words:-  prescribing an opioid;

And by adding the following section:-

SECTION 43. Section 12 shall take effect October 1, 2016.”
