Implementation Period for DPU

Mr. Pignatelli of Lenox moves to amend the bill by inserting after SECTION 13 by inserting the following new section:-

SECTION 13 ½.

SECTION 4 shall take effect 6 months after the enactment of this act; provided, however, that on no more than 6 occasions, the department of public utilities, in its sole discretion, may extend the effective date of SECTION 4 by one month, however nothing in this section shall prevent the department from promulgating regulations and otherwise establishing the regulatory framework necessary to implement this law.
