Library Sales Tax Exemption

Representatives Hogan of Stow, Arciero of Westford, Durant of Spencer, Heroux of Attleboro, Schmid of Westport, Kane of Shrewsbury, Ultrino of Malden, Cutler of Duxbury, Pignatelli of Lenox, Benson of Lunenburg, Scibak of South Hadley, Linsky of Natick, Hecht of Watertown, Puppolo of Springfield, Ferguson of Holden, Orrall of Lakeville, Ashe of Longmeadow, Vega of Holyoke, Atkins of Concord, Madden of Nantucket, Rosa of Leominster, Rushing of Boston, Cantwell of Marshfield, Gentile of Sudbury, McMurtry of Dedham, Gifford of Wareham, Campbell of Methuen, Stanley of Waltham, Fernandes of Milford, Gordon of Bedford, Roy of Franklin, Garry of Dracut, Diehl of Whitman, Muradian of Grafton, Kocot of Northampton and Rogers of Norwood move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION XXXX. Section 6 of chapter 64H of the general laws shall be amended by adding the following paragraph:

(yy) used books and other items sold by libraries and library friends groups for the purposes of raising money to be used for library purposes.”.
