Amendment #1030 to H4200

Nursing and Allied Health Workforce Development Initiative

Representatives Khan of Newton, Vega of Holyoke, Ashe of Longmeadow, Heroux of Attleboro, Balser of Newton, Rogers of Cambridge, Dwyer of Woburn, Cantwell of Marshfield, Mahoney of Worcester, Sannicandro of Ashland, Keefe of Worcester, Donahue of Worcester, Cutler of Duxbury, Cariddi of North Adams, Tosado of Springfield and Kane of Shrewsbury move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7066-0019 the following item:

"7066-XXXX For the nursing and allied health workforce development initiative, to develop and support strategies that increase the number of public and private higher education faculty members and students who participate in programs that support careers in fields related to nursing and allied health; provided, that the amount appropriated in this item shall be transferred to the Massachusetts Nursing and Allied Health Workforce Development Trust Fund established in section 33 of chapter 305 of the acts of 2008; and provided further, that funds shall be transferred to the fund according to an allotment schedule adopted by the executive office for administration and finance ................... $400,000”.
