Homemaker Wage and Benefit Increase

Representatives O'Day of West Boylston, Ashe of Longmeadow, Benson of Lunenburg, Chan of Quincy, Decker of Cambridge, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Donahue of Worcester, Dwyer of Woburn, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Hecht of Watertown, Keefe of Worcester, Cariddi of North Adams, Garballey of Arlington, Gonzalez of Springfield, Khan of Newton, Madden of Nantucket, McMurtry of Dedham, Barber of Somerville, Sannicandro of Ashland, Toomey of Cambridge, Ultrino of Malden and Vincent of Revere move to amend the bill in section 2, by inserting after line item 9110-1633 the following new item:

“9110-1635. For an adjustment to increase the approved program rates issued under 101 CMR 417.00 to provide a rate add-on for wages, compensation and/or salary and associated employee-related costs to personnel providing homemaker and personal care homemaker services to elderly clients under items 9110-1500, 9110-1630, and 4000- 0600…………………….$10,000,000”
