Amendment #1209 to H4200

Early Education Quality Improvement

Representatives Livingstone of Boston, Ashe of Longmeadow, Cantwell of Marshfield, Carvalho of Boston, Devers of Lawrence, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Garballey of Arlington, Gordon of Bedford, Hecht of Watertown, Keefe of Worcester, Khan of Newton, Provost of Somerville, Rogers of Cambridge and Schmid of Westport move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 3000-1020, by striking out the figures "$31,530,665” and inserting in place thereof the figures "$33,530,665”; and by adding the following: “provided further that not less than $2,000,000 shall be expended for direct grants to early education and school age programs participating in the Massachusetts QRIS that are actively engaged in efforts to achieve Level 3 and Level 4 in order to improve quality in early education and school age system of care;”
