Amendment #1229 to H4200

Tickborne Disease Prevention Awareness Campaign

Representatives Cantwell of Marshfield, Ashe of Longmeadow, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Donahue of Worcester, Dykema of Holliston, Finn of West Springfield, Gifford of Wareham, Howitt of Seekonk, Khan of Newton, Keefe of Worcester, Linsky of Natick, Madden of Nantucket, McMurtry of Dedham, Peake of Provincetown, Puppolo of Springfield, Smizik of Brookline, Walsh of Framingham, Whelan of Brewster, Ayers of Quincy, Hecht of Watertown, Hunt of Sandwich, Muradian of Grafton, Orrall of Lakeville and Sannicandro of Ashland move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4516-1000, in line 6, by inserting after the word "services," the following:

 

"provided further, that not less than 500,000 shall be expended for a tickborne disease prevention campaign to educate the public and medical providers on best practices in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.......$500,000"

 

 

and in said item by striking out the figures "12,282,648" and inserting in place thereof the figures "12,782,648".
